In a partnership with Beyond Uganda and Elite Soccer Services, we are excited to participate in our very first, "Make your Own Ball Day".
Let's use a soccer ball to impact lives in Uganda. Make a ball // Give a ball.
MYOB Day
The mission of Make Your Own Ball Day is to use a ball to help kids create, connect, give, appreciate, and play. MYOBD promotes and supports the passions of kids for sport and uses soccer as a platform for change. We envision a world where every kid—regardless of living conditions—has the tools and power to play. The purpose of hosting this event is to see the game from a new, unique, and humbling perspective. We will go barefoot and play with the imperfect and misshapen soccer balls that we create. The MYOBD event will be educational and motivational for our players and
ultimately allow our club to bless a lot of kids from Uganda as we share with
them the game we love. For more information about the MYOBD organization, please check out their website at www.myobd.org
Make a Ball
It is very important to make your ball prior to showing up to the event! There are a million ways to make a ball. You can use any material you want and make it as big or as small as you want. The players will show up the night of the event with their homemade soccer ball to play with. The players will rotate through different FUN soccer games barefoot while playing with their homemade balls to play with. We will collect all the donated soccer balls and end the night our friends from Beyond Uganda will talk about their mission trip and how these soccer balls will served as a great blessing to these kids.
Please watch the tutorial below which will give you a helping hand on how to make your own ball.
Give a Ball
We are inviting you to donate a new or used soccer ball. As a soccer community we are hoping to donate as many soccer balls as possible.
In this specific event, all soccer balls will be donated to "Beyond Uganda". Our friends from Beyond Uganda will travel to Uganda on a mission trip on July 15th and will give all donated soccer balls to kids from those communities.
A schedule of the evening is below and at the end of the night, the players will take home their homemade soccer balls to remember the night and the lessons learned and leave the donated soccer balls.
